A Powerful Massage Website To Attract Clients!

We all agree that having a website that attracts clients is what we are striving for. Right?

Well, sort of...

Here is a line you will hear:

"The Internet is the most powerful way to put your massage practice in front of billions of people overnight."

Sounds dandy. Sign me up!

You quickly found out that it's not that simple though...

What's this about keywords, metatags, domain names, Google AdSense, back links, front links, hyperlinks, Search Engine Optima....what?, yadda, yadda, yadda...???

Your massage website IS important. It's the hub where everything comes together.

Or at least it should be.

You NEED to be found on the FIRST PAGE of search engines when potential clients do a search on the Internet for "massage in YOUR hometown."

Then of course, you need to have quality content that provides these prospective clients with what they are looking for.

Ahhh...but this is easier said than done. Let's look at an example...

You decide to name your massage practice 'Lovey Dovey Day Spa.' (Fill in the name of your practice if you don't like my silly name.)

You create your massage website with a lot of references to Lovey Dovey Day Spa so you get found in the search engines and after a few weeks you've achieved your goal: #1 on Google!

But wait! Your phone isn't any busier than it was prior to having a website, or, being number one in the search engines. What went wrong?? This is the first issue, or problem #1.

Here's the key: No one 'knows your name' so to speak, so they don't perform a search for Lovey Dovey Day Spa, they perform a search for, 'massage in (your city.)' Or, '(your city) massage.' Can you see the problem here?

Sure, you may be number one in the search engines for just one or two keywords, but if no one is searching for the name of your massage business then it's of no value!

Please note that I'm not telling you to discount the name of your massage business. What I am telling you is that you need multiple strong keywords on every page of your site.

Problem #2 is that most therapists are overly concerned about the 'image' of their webpage. Image is important, but don't spent numerous hours being concerned about it. The content, or information you provide is much more important than the pretty flowers or the yin yang symbol or whatever picture you put on your page.

Last but certainly not least, is using to many features on your massage website, as compared to explaining the benefits of what it is you do in a emotionally attractive manner.

To explain, a feature is something like trigger point therapy. A benefit of trigger point therapy is that it may resolve the lower back pain issues of a client so they now can improve their golf game. Clients want the benefits, not endless massage features that most don't understand.

I've yet to have someone come into my office and say, "Gee, I've never received trigger point therapy. I'll try that today!" First, most people don't understand all the medical mumbo jumbo terminology we in the medical profession use. So, why use it? Second, clients want the benefits of trigger point therapy, or even a simple feature such as hot stone therapy.

Clients may recognize this feature and ask for it by name, yet please remember, they are after the benefits, not the features! I've never had a client visit for hot stone therapy just because it sounded cool, or wanted me to use rocks on them! To make a long ramble short, use emotional descriptions and benefits to support the features you list on your massage website.

The program I outline below solves these problems. Oh, and yes, it is a problem. You've probably already spent hundreds of dollars (if not more) and coutless hours creating your massage website and it's not working if you are reading this. But again, have no fear!

Let's keep reading before I reveal how to solve this problem. Here's another key point you must understand:

People find your massage website based on their OWN "Marketing Timeline."

Let's look at this on a scale of 1 to 10. "1" is they don't know anything about massage, or, you and your services, and don't have any intention on scheduling with you. Something caught their eye and they landed on your website.

A "10" is someone who wants a massage RIGHT NOW, finds your massage website and schedules immediately.

Keep this in mind...

We don't know 'where they are' on this marketing timeline when they find your massage website and click on it.

Well, HOPEFULLY they click on your page!

If you follow my recommendation below we'll take the 'hope' out of the equation.

What does all this mean to you?

You must provide your contact information and your specific Unique Selling Proposition in an obvious location on your massage website, and...

...You must provide quality content and information for those that are just browsing, possibly keeping your site in mind for their next massage.

Keep in mind that we are building relationships here. Did you get married on your first date? Well, some do, but the majority do not. Providing quality information about yourself and your specialties begins the relationship and the "trust" factor.

So, how do you go about doing this?

If you're new to this whole internet marketing thing and you don't have the slightest clue on where to start with building your own massage website, I believe one of the best ways for you to go is through a program called SBI!.

Remember the example above with Lovey Dovey Day Spa? SBI teaches you about how to solve this problem as well! How do they do this?

They teach you to use keywords that people are looking for, not just the words you want to use. This is critical so I'll say it again:

If you want to get found on the Internet you must provide the words that people are searching for!

You can find more in regards to SBI! by clicking here, which takes you to several links at the bottom of this page.

Then, you can begin building a massage website that works for you! It will not only work for you, you will actually get more phone calls and appointments!

Again, it doesn't matter if you are #1 on Google if no-one is searching for the name of your massage business! (Oh, and here's another tip. Even if people do know the name of your massage business, why would they search for it? They probably already have it!)

In the past, one of the arguments that most have always used to keep people from going online themselves is "Yeah, but the average massage therapist can't do all that you describe."

And to an extent, I agreed with this for awhile because of some of the difficulties I ran into when I was getting started. In the beginning I was floundering like a fish out of water.

However, after watching one person after another I'd recommended with minimal or no internet experience whatsoever put up a massage website with SBI! and begin getting results almost immediately, I've since changed my mind.

One woman, a stay at home mom who did outcall massage part-time, didn't even know how to send an email attachment when she began using SBI!. In about 2 months she's started getting phone calls routinely from people off of her site, asking her about her business.

So what exactly is SBI! and what does it do?

Well, it's the best web hosting service available, including the most complete, all-in-one-solutions I've come across for someone who wants to advertise their massage business online...

...and it's all designed for a massage therapist with zero technical skills and absolutely no idea what they're doing!

As is the case with most massage business owners like myself.

SBI! provides you with a package of software tools that includes:

  • Point-and-click site building software (no html, ftp or programming skills required. Although SBI! is compatible with Frontpage, DreamWeaver, GoLive, CSS, Flash and just about anything else you want to throw at it if you are more technically inclined. You can use templates or you can completely customize your site.)
  • Domain name registration
  • Unlimited hosting
  • Unlimited email accounts
  • Graphics tools
  • Free blogging platform (with RSS and XML)
  • Keyword brainstorming and research tools
  • Built in autoresponder (This is crucial!)
  • Autoresponder stats tools (open rates, click through rates, etc)
  • Traffic stats and analysis tools
  • Search engine optimization (Much different than what other hosting companies provide. SBI! actually analyzes every page of your site and tells you exactly what needs to be done to optimize it for the search engines.)
  • Pay-per-click research and mass bidding tools
  • Traffic "headquarters" area where you can keep an eye on how you’re doing in all the major methods of getting visitors to your site
  • Ecommerce, credit card processing and shopping cart capabilities
  • Form builder (allows you to put together things like surveys, polls and contact forms)
  • Repeated search engine submission and auto-pinging (what this means is that SBI! continues to submit your pages to the search engines until they are indexed, it tracks when the search engine has “spidered” your page and what their rank is and anytime you make a change to anything or add a new page it automatically submits (pings) it to the search engines. I have yet to see any other service that does all of this for free like SBI! does.)
  • Monetization HQ (SBI! teaches you how to monetize your business in many different ways.)
  • Competition research tools
  • And more...

Now, if all of that seems completely overwhelming to you, that's okay.

The important thing is not that SBI! gives you all these tools, but that they...

Actually show you what to do with them and how to fit them all together!

Information and tools by themselves are useless.

In fact, too much information can be very dangerous. It can cause complete action paralysis. And that's not good because action is the only thing standing between you and your prospective masssage clients.

In order to benefit from information, you need a process.

Just as a crate full of automotive parts but no directions wouldn't do you any good if you were trying to assemble a car, a hodge-podge collection of software tools without a blueprint to follow isn't going to help you build an effective massage website.

Which, in most cases, is what I've found and what I've seen with other hosting companies and site editing programs out there. They'll set you up on a $15.95/mo hosting plan with some random tools that mean nothing to the beginner and then leave you to figure everything else out on your own.

With SBI!, every step from beginning to end is mapped out and explained in an easy to understand, do-this-then-do-that action guide.

Nothing is left for you to figure out on your own!

This completely removes all the technical barriers, which allows you to focus on the most important aspects of your business. (Massage!)

But that's not even the main reason I like SBI! so much.

All of these technical features are important to your online business building efforts, but the real reason I recommend SBI! so highly is because they teach you how to build the right kind of massage website.

This is critical because, as we've already seen with most company provided websites, all sites are not created equal.

There's a massive difference between an effective website and an ineffective one and if you don't know how to build an effective site, you might as well not even bother building one at all.

Just look around at all the websites out there...even yours AND your competitors. Do they really work, or are they just a copy of your brochure?

Well, I could carry on about this forever, but I'll cut it short.

SBI! Is simply amazing. They walk you through every step of the process. I mean, you don't even get to start building on your actual massage website until about half way through the process.

You see, throwing up a site with a lot of words and pretty graphics is easy, but doesn't "work."

SBI! takes you through all the technical stuff like keywords. You run your keywords though a search function that tells you supply and demand. They teach you about domain names and headlines and all that important stuff. It's pretty amazing.

I mean, they walk you through this process, step by step.

They offer a money back guarantee as well.

Why not give it a try?

SBI! has a ton of sites listed in the top 1% for the majority of categories on the Internet.

This is where YOU NEED TO BE if you are going to use your massage website for what it is intended for:

PROVIDE QUALITY INFORMATION SO THAT PROSPECTIVE MASSAGE CLIENTS TRUST YOU ENOUGH TO PICK UP THE TELEPHONE AND CALL YOU!
