Join us to learn the healing principles rooted in the science of yoga. Each course will offer the blessing of fundamental yoga poses based in the science of anatomy, physiology, and the alignment principles of yoga. Are you a yoga teacher, massage therapist or a person with back pain? Learn the therapeutic
application of yoga for back, neck and shoulder conditions. A national expert in yoga's structural benefits, Lillah offers this signature course to help you tap into yoga's healing and strengthening power.

This course is divided into three phases or levels;
Phase one is open to all students, massage therapists and yoga teachers for CEUs,
Phase two is open to teachers in training at both the 200/500-hour levels, those 500 hr students continuing to Phase three will complete the 300 hrs of yoga therapy training.

Pre-requisites for the full course (Phases 1-3) include two years of teaching experience, a background in anatomy, and a 200 or 500-hour teaching certificate which may be obtained through the Transformation Yoga Teacher Trainings at Lighten Up Yoga. Weekends 1 & 2:
August 24-26, 2012 - Principles of Self-applied Back Care
September 21-23, 2012 - Anatomy of Movement, Shoulder & Back Extensions

Students learn:
• the therapeutic application of yoga poses
for a variety back, neck and shoulder conditions
• a practical
knowledge of anatomy
• how to identify and correct muscular imbalances
• how to safely build flexibility and strength
• how yoga improves the health of your joints
• how yoga can increase endorphins and reduce pain
• How yoga can integrate the body, mind, and spirit

Each 13 hour weekend includes: asana (pose) practices, pranayama (breath) practices, anatomy studies, relaxation training, pose sequencing principles, meditation and pain management, and more.

Two weekends: 13 hours/13CEUs each for massage therapists and yoga teachers
Weekends may be attended individually with permission from the instructor.

November 30- December 2, 2012 - Spinal Conditions and Practice Guidelines

Learn to develop the pelvic floor, understand asymmetry and scoliosis, and learn how to map your body and create better balance. Discover reliable yoga applications for special back conditions, plus progress and refine your inversion, pranayama, and meditation practices.

Weekends 3 & 4: 20 hours each may be attended individually with permission from the instructor.

Friday 2 - 5 pm & 6:45 - 9 pm
Saturday 10:30 - 6:30 pm, with lunch break from 1:30- 2:30 pm
